DINE & DANCE
At 5 pm, the party will continue in the ballroom where you will enjoy dinner & dancing. Enjoy the first dance, the parent dances, cake cutting, toasts & more as we celebrate the new Mr & Mrs Karl.
The party will continue until 9 pm, when the bride & groom will bid everyone farewell and ride off into the sunset.
Photos will be posted by mid-September.
When is the wedding again? June 22, 2014! It's a SUNDAY, by the way. We hope that isn't a big inconvenience to anyone, but it was what worked best for us and we're really excited about doing things a little differently.
What's with all the seaglass? We decided on a seaglass theme because we were hunting for seaglass on Sandy Hook when Pat proposed. We also like seaglass because the colors are lovely and every piece is unique, just like us and all of the people in our lives.
Where can we stay if we are coming from out of town? We have reserved a block at the Molly Pitcher Inn. If you need to make a reservation, mention that you are calling for the Woodward-Karl block. Here are some other hotels you can check out. Be sure to make reservations sooner rather than later, as this is the first weekend of summer.
What is the attire? Cocktail attire, which is generally a cocktail dress or a pant suit for women and a suit for the men.
What is an "unplugged ceremony" and why would you do that? We are so excited to share this day with all of you and want to walk down the aisle to the faces of our loved ones rather than the backend of a smartphone or camera. Don't worry! We hired a wonderful photographer who will be taking photos and we will share all of them with you via the SmugMug gallery. You can feel free to bring your cameras or smart phones to the reception, but don't feel like you have to if you want to unplug for a few hours and dance and enjoy the company of friends. Our photographer will be working hard to capture the day so you don't have to!
What time does the ceremony begin? The start time is 3 pm, however, the start time indicates what time the bride will be walking down the aisle, which means you should plan arrive no later than 2:45 pm.
What about a receiving line? There will not be a formal receving line. Instead, the bride & groom will await your arrival at the Molly Pitcher Inn and greet you at cocktail hour. This is being done in hopes of allowing us more time to talk with our guests than a formal receiving line would allow. We appreciate that all of you have come to join our special day & we want to have time to spend with you. This is also why we are taking our photos before the ceremony.
When do we need to RSVP by? Kindly RSVP by May 30th. The sooner, the better!
You guys moved across the street from her parents — are you insane? Yup! But we're excited to live so close to all of our parents. And, yes, we have seen Everybody Loves Raymond (Ironically one of our favorite shows).
Are you excited to get married? YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT! And we can't wait for you to join us!
